Paid Social & Shopping Specialist (Freelance)
  
We are seeking a Paid Social & Shopping Specialist to support an international marketing team as an on-site contractor (embedded role). The position is based in Amsterdam, with the successful candidate expected to be in the office three days per week, working closely with internal marketing and media teams.
  
This specialist will be responsible for activating and optimizing paid media campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and Google Shopping, ensuring they are aligned with the overarching media strategy set by the Digital Media Lead. The position is highly hands-on, focusing on campaign implementation, ongoing optimization, performance analysis, and regular reporting across key paid channels.
  
Around 65% of the role will be dedicated to Paid Social (Meta and TikTok), delivering full-funnel results through creative experimentation, audience segmentation, and conversion-focused optimization. The remaining 35% will concentrate on Google Shopping, including feed optimization, campaign structuring, and bid strategy in order to drive efficiency and sales performance across multiple markets.
  
The ideal candidate brings strong platform expertise and a highly analytical mindset, ensuring flawless execution and measurable impact across all initiatives.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and optimize Paid Social campaigns across Meta and TikTok, ensuring consistency across formats, targeting, and creative testing
  • Manage and optimize Google Shopping activity, including product feed quality, campaign setup, and bid management
  • Develop and oversee A/B testing roadmaps and learning agendas across Paid Social and Shopping channels
  • Work closely with the Digital Media Lead on accurate tracking, reporting, and performance insights
  • Ensure all activities support broader media and business objectives
  • Contribute to measurement initiatives, including brand and performance lift studies where relevant
  • Stay up to date on platform changes, automation capabilities, and best practices within Paid Social and Shopping
  
Profile Requirements
  • 3–5 years of practical experience managing Paid Social campaigns (Meta, TikTok) and Google Shopping
  • Solid operational knowledge of campaign setup, optimization, and performance measurement
  • Demonstrated experience driving full-funnel performance from awareness through to conversion
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and data-interpretation skills
  • Experience working with creative teams or agencies on testing methodologies
  • Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working as an embedded contractor within a client organization
  • Fluency in English required; German is an advantage
  • Based in Amsterdam, with the ability to work on-site three days per week
