Sr Copywriter
Senior Concept Copywriter to lead creative development for CRM campaigns in the Dutch market. In this role, you will generate big ideas and craft compelling short-form copy for emails, app content, push notifications, and loyalty communications. Make no mistake, just because it's CRM it's still highly creative. This because the client is a global food giant, a lot of the campaigns find their creative conception in the CRM part.
You'll partner closely with art directors and the broader creative team to ensure campaigns tell a cohesive story and connect with customers in a clear, engaging way. As senior copy lead, you'll also act as the right hand to the Creative Lead, maintaining high creative standards and local relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Ideation: Develop fresh, impactful ideas for CRM campaigns that drive engagement and stand out in inboxes and apps.
- Copywriting & Content Creation: Write persuasive, concise Dutch copy across channels - including emails, push notifications, app prompts, and loyalty program messaging.
- Localization & Adaptation: Transcreate regional/global materials into Dutch, ensuring cultural fit and tone consistency.
- Brand Voice & Consistency: Uphold a friendly, inclusive, and simple brand voice across all CRM touchpoints.
- Personalization: Leverage data and insights to tailor messaging for different customer segments.
- Review & QA: Ensure flawless copy and correct use of tone, style, and personalization fields.
- Collaboration: Present work in reviews, adapt based on feedback, and occasionally represent the copy team in meetings.
- Leadership Support: Step in for the Creative Lead when needed, acting as a senior point of contact in the Dutch team.
- Innovation: Suggest new creative approaches and keep an eye on local trends and competitor activity.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years as a copywriter, ideally with CRM, email marketing, or loyalty program experience.
- Strong portfolio showing short-form, persuasive copy across multiple channels.
- Conceptual thinker as well as skilled writer - able to contribute to campaign ideas, not just execution.
- Excellent understanding of Dutch consumers, language nuances, and culture.
- Extreme attention to detail and consistency in writing.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Passion for creativity and crafting copy that connects with a wide audience.
