ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is looking for an all-round Brand & UI Designer to join their creative team on a freelance basis. This is a hands-on role for someone equally comfortable shaping brand expression and designing polished, functional interfaces, with the versatility to move fluidly between the two. You'll work closely with product, marketing, and creative teams to bring visual consistency and craft to everything from brand campaigns to digital product experiences, with the occasional opportunity to add motion to the mix.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design brand and marketing assets across digital and print touchpoints, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines
- Design and iterate on UI screens and components in Figma, from concept through to hand-off
- Contribute to and help evolve design systems, ensuring reusable, scalable components
- Translate product and marketing requirements into clear, elegant visual solutions
- Create light motion design elements (e.g. animated banners, UI micro-interactions, social content) to bring static designs to life
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including product managers, marketers, and other designers
- Present and articulate design decisions clearly, incorporating feedback efficiently
- A strong portfolio demonstrating both brand/visual design and UI/product design work
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, variables, prototyping)
- Solid understanding of typography, layout, colour, and brand systems
- Working knowledge of motion design principles and tools (e.g. After Effects, or Figma-native motion/prototyping)
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain design rationale to non-design stakeholders
- Experience working with or within large, matrixed organisations is a plus
- Experience designing for e-commerce, smart home, or hardware/software hybrid products
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Basic illustration skills
