In this senior role, you will take ownership of identifying, developing, and converting high-value commercial opportunities. Bringing a strong sales background — ideally from the experiential or exhibitions industry — you will work closely with sales, creative, and marketing teams to deliver distinctive solutions and exceptional client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new business initiatives by identifying and engaging high-potential prospects, with a strong focus on corporate clients.
- Build, manage, and grow a robust sales pipeline, guiding opportunities from first contact through to preferred supplier agreements.
- Communicate the organisation's value proposition through impactful presentations and pitches, in close collaboration with the creative team.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to strengthen market presence and develop senior-level relationships.
- Partner with the marketing team to enhance brand visibility and maintain consistent, high-quality communication with prospective clients.
- Ensure a smooth handover from business development to account management, supporting long-term client satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Track and manage sales performance, ensuring revenue targets and profitability objectives are met.
- Take a consultative approach with clients, providing strategic guidance and positioning the organisation as a long-term, trusted partner.
- Continuously identify emerging market trends, process improvements, and innovation opportunities to strengthen competitive positioning.
- Actively support sustainability initiatives by embedding responsible practices across all business development activities.
- 5+ years' experience in a senior sales or business development role within the events and/or exhibitions industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within large corporate organisations.
- Experience working across international markets, with the flexibility to travel globally when required.
- Proven success in exceeding sales targets and delivering sustained business growth through strategic and creative approaches.
- Self-starter mindset, with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
